I'm the author of more than two dozen books, all historical nonfiction. My previous career in journalism included stints as a local television reporter and writer with CNN. Despite outward signs of normalcy, I suffer from an unhealthy obsession with flying saucers (even though I'm pretty sure they don’t exist).

I live in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, where I now revel in making up stories rather than mindlessly sticking to the facts. Helium is my first novel.
